Australia v Scotland at Melbourne 1985 when visiting.

Liverpool v Wimbledon Charity Shield 88

What score were these two matches?

The first was 0-0. Scotland won 2-0 over the two legs. Just looked it up as had forgotten! Dalglish and Frank Mcavennie were up front and whiskey nose was manager!

The second was 2-1 to Liverpool. This was the rematch after Wimbledon beat them in the cup final. Aldridge scored two in reply to Fashanu for Wimbledon who opened the score. Wimbledon had Terry Phelan playing for them.

Benidorm vs Barcelona B in 2007, just dug the program out that i bought back with me and quite a few of the lads who played have gone on to have good careers.

Marc Crosas-Celtic
Jordi Gomez-Swansea, Wigan
Jeffren-Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon
Giovani dos Santos-Barcelona, Tottenham, Ipswich
Bojan-Barcelona, Roma
Andrea Orlandi-Swansea, Brighton
Sito Riera- brother of our very own Albert

When I lived in London, 1986-1987, went to Brentford v Bury.
Also QPR v Watford (0-0) on the same day City beat Huddersfield 10-1.

More recently (about 2007), Millwall v Stoke City.

Stockport v Exeter circa 1989 won the half time raffle, bottle of wine.
Oldham v Ipswich mid 90s high scoring game, got there late and told ticket office car had broken down from Ipswich, let us in free in away end !

When I was stationed in Buckinghamshire in my National Service days, a few of us decided to take in a match in London on a free Sat afternoon, so we chose.....Fulham v Hull (2nd Div). I still don't know why. All I remember is that playing for Fulham was the late Bobby Robson, and on the left wing was ex-United player Charlie Mitten.
For trivia freaks, Charlie is the only player born in Burma to play in an FA Cup Final. Ask anyone that and if they get it right I will walk to bloody Burma.

Bolton v Joke City a good few years ago. Ended up 1-1 with Bolton scoring a last minute penalty.

Best of it was that it was a free Corporate ticket through work (we do events at the Reebok stadium) anyway free booze, food the works oh and I won first scorer so came out with more money that I gone in with.

Lou Macari's testimonial :(
HaHa I was scared to admit it.Went with rag mates(I know what your thinking) and wore my City top under a jumper and it turned out to be a mad hot day. Also went to see Bideford against Leicester in a pre season friendly down Devon way.

I was talked into going by rag, nonce stepfather.

Rags v Derby County in 2001 - sat in the Stretford End with my kids - I apologise

Earlier this year, MK Dons v Sheffield Wednesday - Alan Smith still plying his trade with Ian Wright screaming from the touchline - odd.
