Most underrated player to play for city

dave connor, never gets a mention but played a vital role man-marking opposing play-makers out of the game. Ian Bowyer had the last laugh on his boo boys, european cup medals trump boos
and whistles, albeit for Clough's Forest.

He was never the right fit at City. Wolfsburg and Roma made him the target man and built teams around him. We were never going to do that. He wasn’t flexible.

Scored some important goals though.

Confidence player, he had games where his finishing was woeful and got bullied by smaller defenders than him. Then he would be unplayable with his tale up, Spurs in 2011 and the run in for 2014 were some of his memorable moments. Dragged us off the deck v Notts County for his first ever City goal.

Set up the Aguero moment. Was that the last time we scored with a clean header from a corner?!

Robinho or Elano. Absolutely class for us in spite of Hughes. Far better than given credit for being...therefore underrated.

Even to this day there’s blues who remember them as poor for some weird reason, probably watch too much Sky Sports News or listen to Talksport to get told what opinions to have.
