Here's an accolade.

Off the top of my head we've been there in

99
86 FMC
81 twice
76
74
70
69
56
55
34
33 (were these last two WEmbley? Mr James step forward)

I suspect our earlier final appearances were elsewhere and are probably irrelevant to the question anyway.

So who's been there with City the most times? I can manage a paltry four.

And 1926...

The full list of City at Wembley (ignoring 5 a side played at the exhibition/arena place!):

1926, 1933, 1934, 1955, 1956, 1969, 1981x2 FAC
1970, 1974, 1976 League Cup
1986 FMC
1999 Play Off

In 1969 the MEN did a piece on an old guy who had been to every City FA Cup final (including 1904 at the Crystal Palace). I guess he'd passed away by 1981.

Also, the great Billy Meredith appeared in the 1904 final and watched City in every FA Cup final until his death in 1958.

Before anyone asks... Charity/Community Shield games were not played at Wembley until 70s and City's games were all on League grounds.

Only two for me - 1981 (the Saturday only) and 1999.

Won't make it this year either, even if we get another Wembley appearance by reaching the final (please God!). Hopefully thre'll be plenty of opportunity again in the years to come, though.

Incidentally, the first Wembley final - white horse and all - was in 1923, so all of our finals from and including 1926 count. Though as that's 85 years ago, anyone who went to that will presumably be well into their nineties.

Just the one time with City in 1999.

But went to the Oldham - Forrest League Cup final in 1990 (Got free tickets).

Also saw Oasis at the new Wembley in 2009

seven, couldnt get a ticket for 1969 , if i remember right you needed 40 vouchers and I had only 36 , not bad for an eleven year old but not good enough as most tickets went to the football family even in those days.
