Him and Pedro...........and Alves...........and Pique grabbing the player round the throat..........and Valdes for running 50 yards to go to the ref and then the half time tunnel incident................and Milito in the half time incident.......... Oh and Xavi, Masherano, Villa all going to surround the ref at every decision.
As I've said here and elsewhere, the game should probably have ended with 7-8 players on each side.

Both sides gave new heights to playing with a distinct cynical quality.

Real Madrid should if just played it like a basket ball game you av a go we av a go try have the team for it

SSN showing the special one.....he says that if UEFA punish him for his sending off last night he will walk away from football. He feels that he can no longer talk openly!

Sounds like he is spinning shite in an attempt to take the heat off his poor tactics last night! Thoughts?

What was wrong with his tactics, he did about the only thing you can do to Barcelona. And it was working until the Ref sent his player off for nothing

And this tactic of no possession and constant fouling ad frustrating always run a big risk of cards, naturally.

30 pct posession at home and no chances. Hes trying to protect himself from the Spanish fans who were furious at the Netherlands tactics in the WC. Rightly so.

The Pepe red may have been slightly harsh maybe not, although it was a fucking shitbag challenge the way he stuck his studs out while turning his face away, dangerous I'd say. On the other Marcelo did a double stamp on a player who was down, that should deffo have been a straight red so it evened out.

Lets not forget our very own Ade either. Could have easily been off for that.

Cringeworthy. Di maria is a class A diver and so are several others on that team.

-- Thu Apr 28, 2011 3:18 pm --

No way..thats sucide. He has no experience expect coaching the best team in the world and it's academy team.

I think he would fail elsewhere. It would be a huge risk. And his Barca team is so one-dimensional. His football wouldn't work in england.
Agreed^

Teach a parrot to say 'Give it to Messi' and he would win them the league.

yes just like maradona and rijkaards last seasons.

You can't park the bus in front of your own goal, if in the past you have slagged other teams for doing the same thing. He has just shown that tactically, all he can do against better opposition is to kick lumps out of them, and defend. No tactical genius needed, just 11 men behind the ball and lots of niggling tackles all night long. The sooner he leaves them, the sooner he can join us and win trophies.....

Exactly. That worked for him at Inter but Barca team are wiser since then. Its NEGATIVE football plied by the Moaner.

Maradona?

Look everyone but Messi was taking a tumble last nite but chocolate digestives is an utter pisstake, almost a parody of himself

@Somud

Real had 6 shots and Barca had 8. The no chances is a figment of your imagination.

Under Rijkaard Messi had not taken over the role he has now. He was second fiddle behind Ronaldinho and his maturity and application since becoming the go to guy cannot be compared.

Under Maradona or infact playing for Argentina is completely different too. Mainly because Barca are a team of players who are leaders and players who can stretch the game for messi to drift in-between the defence and midfield. Players like Xavi or Iniesta. Like I said for Barca just knock the ball in to messi and let him do his thing as he has the space.

ok, so the argument is that what pep has done, anyone could do? anyone would have played messi as striker, anyone would have brought the ferocious ballwinning determination to that side, anyone would have seen busquets and pedros talents and made them starters for club and country, anyone would have the balls to get rid of the two biggest stars days after getting the job

Barca have played 433 for years with Messi making cameos and playing on the right pre Guardiola so it's not exactly genius. As for Busquets and Pedro he knew of them previously as he was associated with the academy. If anything it is lucky he had them coming through as he isn't brilliant in the transfer market. Ibrahimovic, the Ukrainian centre half and Kerrison were all bought by him and have all departed by loan or sold. The only player that has been successful is Villa.

The sooner he gets a Portuguese vineyard and starts making Mateus Rosé that keeps him off me TV screen for the next two decades, the better.
