Moving to Manchester

Hello. I would like some info about moving to Manchester, please. And only Manchester.
I am 31 yo, 2 children, twins, 3 and a half years old, and wife. We live in Constanta, Romania. I earn about €2000 a month now, but we would like to move to Manchester for the next 15-20 years, for the children education.
The info I need: is it easy for me to find a job (as an engineer)? What about the salary? How much would it cost to rent/buy a house(not flat) in a good neighbourhood, british neighbours preferable? And the cost of living. Thank you and have a nice day!
Maybe read the cesspit of a city thread before you book the removalists

Based on the prices I was paying when I visited Bucharest, I imagine €2000 will go much further in Constanta than in Manchester, so the lifestyle your family is accustomed to may have to adjust a bit. The weather will be shit for a start. If you're coming to Manchester for the purposes of your children's education, it may be best to select the area you live based on the quality of the schools in that area.

Rightmove and Zoopla are a couple of websites/apps you can use to search for properties and it will show you schools in that area, along with the Ofsted report. Ofsted is a government agency that grades the performances of schools and you should be looking for "Outstanding" if possible. Most schools in this country are struggling for capacity though so living near it is only one factor for children to be able to attend.

To get a good idea of salary, google “engineering jobs” (or more specific) and take a look at one or two job sites to see what is being offered for your level and specialism. Don’t forget to filter for Manchester as pay differs around the country.

Can you lay concrete?
