I know a girl who was a regular season ticket hold but had to give it up because she often had to work on a Saturday. She still went to some home Saturday games plus all midweek and Sunday games though.
About halfway through the season she changed jobs, saw the remaining home games and re-applied for her season ticket expecting to be relegated to a fourth-year season ticket holder. Instead she was put back to a first year season ticket holder even though she'd only missed one season. When she checked through various people in the ticket office she was told the instruction came from Mr Halford.

Not a fan of Halford by any means , but back then I'm afraid those were the rules - continuity - that's why If we held a ticket for over 5 years we were called "regular season ticket holders" . Because we were regular .

my favourite memory of mike doyle was a derby game , when he chinned macari , the ref wanted to send both players off and he refused to go , the official had to take both teams off and lock doyle in the dressing room and city came out with ten men and resumed the game , macari was also sent off for impersonating a footballer.
