The 24-year old said he was astonished about City’s approach that night, adding: "Manchester had two attackers who -- and I exaggerate a bit -- sat in their deckchairs on the halfway line when we were in possession. No attacker is allowed to do that at Bayern or the Germany team."

Fair comment to a degree. Dzeko isn't reknowned for his haranguing of defenders and didn't do much chasing if I recall, whilst Aguero seemed to give up after a while when he realized this. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Thought they both put in a decent enough shift but they quickly realised pressing them that high up was only ever going to tire them out. They were too comfortable/too good on the ball for it to have been worthwhile to press high up. Bayern were just toying with us to try and entice our wingers and Yaya to push higher so they could pass it through us even easier than they actually did.
