mufc evictions

To be honest, that's not nice reading and I'd find it hard to point score with a Rag on the back of it.

I agree, plenty of good united fans in my family and friends, they are not to blame for what the club did or did not do - you also have to wonder what the management of City would have done if that was our team back then - times have indeed changed in the years since, don't forget we were not long out of WW2, when terrible events and death were the norm, and people were expected to just get on with life.

The whole episode as a Mancunian makes me very sad, it should transcend tribal bickering as was the case when the news broke.

I, and I'm sure the vast majority of our fanbase, wouldn't dream of throwing this in the face of your average United fan on the street that hasn't said anything to warrant the subject being brought up.

However, it's the perfect riposte to any Rags that peddle the cringeworthy line that they do things "the right way". Anyone coming out with that shite deserves to get it with both barrels.

Let's get one thing straight, it was a hideous tragedy. One that those of us who weren't born during it probably cannot comprehend in the same way to those who lived through it. RIP to ALL those who died in it.

But ... What sticks in my throat is the way the club has shamelessly used it to the own advantage. Forget the evictions, I'm talking about the Munich Benefit Match sponsored by AIG!!! and most of all there beloved hero and all round superstar King Eric Cantona charged more to play in that game than the actual recipients received. Private jet to fly him over the lot!
Now, I don't know about you, but I'd have played in that game for free.

Don't forget that in the 50th anniversary of Munich derby at the swamp in 2008 both clubs agreed that as a mark of remembrance and respect both sides would wear 1958 style plain shirts with no names or sponsors on them, just numbers 1-11. And so they did. However, while City's 'player escorts' also wore identical plain shirts, the rags' player escorts all wore full AIG sponsored kits. That classless shithouse of a club just can't help itself can it?

That's of course in addition to the monster Munich anniversary banner that carried AIG's name on it. Even rag fans were outraged by this and one of them went as far as defacing the AIG logo.

Classless act from a classless club.

What else do you expect?

Let's not forget the 'Munich' scarves that were on sale on Ebay an hour after the 50th anniversary game.

Stay Classy Stretford!

I'm happy to bring it up at any and every opportunity. It's not a dig at the fans but at the club. United behaved appallingly and they shouldn't be allowed to airbrush it out of their history.
Disgusting club, always have been, always will.

The rags are in total denial about this whole issue. I don't know a single rag who's aware of it (or if they are, admits it) because of the propaganda that scum of a club has been putting out for over 50 years to paint itself in as holy and caring light as possible.

Its as if it didn't happen very few references are left and difficult to find. The reason brought up the subject it is the anniversary and I am sick of them plastering their tributes all over facebook

You are not wrong, i posted on a banter page that the fans show far much more respect than the club ever did, and that is was a credit to their fans.
Fuck me!, you should see the outrage.
