Any fans on here? Personally loved their first album and the second was alright too.
New album due for release on 2nd May and the first track released from it looks like they've completely changed their sound. Considering it's been almost 3 years since they released any new material I'm a little underwhelmed by this song.
Hoping there's some decent tracks on the rest of the album

No feelings about them either way but know that the hipster critics are in the "knock 'em down now they're huge" phase.
If the new album isn't a stormer it will be lambasted by the critics. The public may well still buy it in huge quantities though.

Yeah, seems like its the way with every artist now. People seem to hate success for some reason. They're talented musicians and their first album was incredibly good and something of a break from all the shite that usually dominates the charts

Don't really rate them if I'm being honest.

There are a lot of other "folk rock" bands out there who are infinitely better at what they do than them...

Crosby, Stills & Nash
Led Zeppelin
Simon & Garfunkel
The Kinks
The Pogues

...all off the top of my head are all far superior. IMO.

I like them and I like they have decided to go all electric this album as a 3rd album of their usual stuff would get a bit stale.
