My idea - Play Yaya at centre back for certain games

Kevin Keegan said it yesterday and I agree with him.

How can we get better? simple play Yaya at centre back, harsh on Lescott but he lacks height in certain situations. Yaya would be more dominant, he could still have a licence to roam forward at times.

This way we could accommodate another forwards or NDJ in midfield.

Anyone agree or do I need to lie down?

Didn't Barca use him as a CB at times, not that they need a defence

Not sure about Bolton, but it's not fair blaming the Kaboul goal on Yaya. We play zonal marking, and he left Yaya's zone.

Take a look at the replay of that goal. Kompany isn't even close to the ball and Yaya looks like a sack of potatoes thinking:

"Oh fuck it, were up 4 anyway.."

It was definitely on Yaya, that goal. Had he even bothered to jump, Kaboul might have missed that one.

Completely disagree, he is not as good in the air as Lescott is and restricting his forward runs would just be harsh. He's an excellent midfielder.

Bizarre indeed. He must only be 5 foot 10 in some situations:) And as others have said Yaya isn't a great header of the ball and never dominant in the air.

But Barcelona can accommodate for their centre backs, I mean Mascherano a midget has been playing centre back for them. It is not about height for them in that position, whereas we need it.

There's a reason Bobby is managing us now and Keegan isn't anywhere.
