My Stroke Journey

I did a thing yesterday!
Following a life threatening brain haemorrhage & haemorrhagic stroke in March 22, after being told I wouldn’t walk again, me and my daughter walked back into the ground together for the first time again yesterday! I collapsed on the night we played palace away March 2022

Hope I’m ok sharing these links.
Proud moment & it made me realise just how far we’ve come!

What a little treasure she is mate.

Jeesh - that video is so uplifting - your daughter must be so proud of you - on wards and upwards…….

That must have been one hell of a buzz for you and your lass Dan. Not many people will get to experience the high you must have felt walking up to the ground. I wish you nothing but the best in your ongoing journey back to some sort of normality. Not sure watching City will be good for your stress levels, mind!

I had a bleed on the brain 7 years ago got rushed to Salford Royal I was very lucky that the stroke doctors were waiting in a&e for me DONT remember anything apart from waking up and had this strange sort of slurring my words. All good now apart from know what to say but i can’t pronounce it sometimes and I forget things very quickly at times, go back once a year to see specialist on medication but I’m very great full to the amazing staff we have in the NHS
