I still struggle with the loss of my little one to this day and that was two and a half years ago.

It's horrible when you have to say goodbye to them OP. You can find solace in the fact that any suffering he may have been quietly enduring is now over, and he's at peace. Though you won't be feeling like that at the moment. Which is understandable. I've been there a few times, and it's heartbreaking.

RIP lil chap. Had to put our 15 year old chocy lab to sleep 18 months ago. Horrible experience. My heart goes out to you mucker. :(

Heartbreaking stuff mate I'm sorry to hear a good dog is like a true best friend they never let you down and always happy to see you, found our family dog on early hours of Christmas morning just over a decade back.

I was staying at my mum's and found Zeus our German shepherd lifeless, he was 14 or 15 and had a good innings but that didn't make it any easier, it was horrible to find him but I'm glad it was me rather than my mum or her fella too as he'd lost his own dad on another Christmas day.

Also had to take the other German shepherd Kiya to the vets after her legs completely gave up on her, she was in distress and needed to be put down it was gut wrenching it's almost like she knew she was going.

It might feel like shit right now but you've given Bailey a great life and he clearly improved your quality of life too, I'm sure there's many fond memories and although it's probably most painful right now keep your head up and don't let it put you off at some point in the future.

Thanks to everybody for all the kind words, it has really been helpful to Mrs. Biggie and me at this awful time.
