N Power.........another company rumbled

Npower have been rumbled! Over the past few days a top tax expert has been investigating their accounts. Today the results of that investigation are splashed across the Sun newspaper - where it will be read by millions. [1]

Last week we found out Npower hadn't paid a penny in corporation tax in the last three years. Now a tax expert – paid for by donations from 38 Degrees members – has uncovered the likely explanation. They're funneling profits made in the UK through a shell company in Malta. It looks like this has helped them dodge £60 million in tax over the last four years! [2]

We’ve got them. And it’s donations from 38 Degrees members that have uncovered this scam. Other tax dodging companies have backed down once the glare of publicity is on them. This newspaper coverage, and our 100,000 signature strong petition is a great start. Now it’s time to take this straight to Npower's chief executive.

Microsoft only paid 4% on its overseas earnings most multi nationals are at it and it is immoral for lots of reasons

38 Degrees is the angle at which an avalanche happens. In the UK, 38 Degrees will enable people to act together, to create an avalanche for change.

Non political organisation

Dead simple.....38 Degrees list a campaign and then set up an email system that:

Identifies your MP , Populates the email with carefully chosen words (stops you ranting) and also includes your details on a petition (if you agree with the campaign and send the email).

38 degrees are responsible for stopping a number of bills going through parliament and forcing governments to rethink and reword the amendments.

they will ask you for a donation (cos its a small organisation but you don't have to unless you want to.
