Name a film that makes you cry

The first film I remember that really affected me emotionally was "21 Grams". In the story, a mother (Naomi Watts) lost her two small children (and husband) in a car accident. My son was 4 at the time and like most parents, I spent a lot of my time worrying about him, so to see my worst nightmare played out on the screen so powerfully was a bit disturbing.

And the finale of Casablanca. "This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship".

The earlier scene where they sing La Marseillaise, the whole cafe joins in to outsing the Nazi officers. The Spanish lady with the guitar is belting out the words while the French hooker who had sold her body to the Germans cries as she finds her soul is still French. And Ingrid Bergman looks on beautifully and proudly.[/QUOTE]

Yep, great scene. Many forget that the French actors singing La Marseillaise were in genuine tears too given that, at the time of filming, France was occupied by Nazi Germany.

Two of the top of my head would be:
Field of Dreams
Manchester by the Sea

Oh and those Jim Carry ones..
Eternal Sunshine, and The Truman Show.

Yes, that's a great scene. It's just a great film.

My Girl sticks in my head as probably being the 1st and only film to make me actually have tears, this was many years before having kids myself however since having kids I have now found myself a lot more emotional about certain films.
