Nasri [Merged] continued.

Arsenal are clearly dragging their heels over this so there is obviously a stumbling block.

I think City are probably much more hard bargaining now than when the ADUG takeover first happened. Must be hardballing on the fee.

The pressure is on Arsenal; we can wait two weeks but after that they lose him for nothing.

In my opinion, reading between the lines at that press conference and the ones before it, I think it's pretty obvious that Mancini is not impressed at all with Cook and Marwood's work this summer

In terms of the quality of players we have been able to bring in then I am sure he is more than satisfied. As for the time they have taken I am sure he won't be satisfied given his desire for them to have a whole pre-season with the current players reducing settling in period time.

I am sure the player wants to come and that he will do so, but in Wengers position I would do exactly the same in terms of getting as much money out the deal as possible and I'm sure others would aswell. Despite the circumstances, our wealth has dictated the complex, drawn out negotiations regarding this transfer. I'm sure Wenger would very much like to keep Samir but is resigned to losing him due to the length on his contract. We'll have gained two very good players from Arsenal this summer if we acquire Nasri's services aswell.

why do our transfers take so long??? liverpool have just signed enrique today and only agreed deal with newcastle yesterday?!?!??

Because they are buying average players! Plus they play hard ball hoping they will squeeze another 1m or two

Nasri is apparently 'ill', therefore won't be going Newcastle.

I call it lovesick, of coming to City.

THIS! the thought of rubbing shoulders with silva and aguero hes smitten!

Real info on where we are up to guys.

Where we are upto is terms have been agreed with Nasri, we are stumbling on the fee around 2 mill short, once that is sorted he will sign.

It will prob be sorted by end of play today I would think.

ps, that is a round up of all the newspapers, hints, snippets and all the other shit that has been posted before anybody starts asking for links, shortcuts and sources.

Sorry didn't realise my post count was an indication of my intelligence.

If you would prefer I could stick to posting GIFs and formations looks like that is the only type of crap on here that doesn't get any stick.

A question was asked and I replied and then gave my opinion on the matter, apologies but I thought that was what a transfer FORUM (An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.) was about.

Plus, clubs don't try it on with Liverpool or the rags or anyone else because they know they are skint. As soon as money-bags City come along, the price doubles and we have to go around the houses for 2 weeks telling them to fuck off and that we will not be taken for mugs.

my understanding of the situation is that the valuation gap between the 2 parties is a lot more than £2M, more like £10M

The fee is no longer the stumbling block. Believe it or not, Nasri cannot read english so we have an administrator using google translator to translate the contract from English to French so it is legible to him. He also has dyscalcula but is more than able at counting the 000000's on his contract.
