look at this way ... The club know what it doing and if Nasri has any chance of being cup-tied we'll either push the deal through before Arsenal CL qualifying round or we'll pull out of the deal if he gets cup tied (unless we are happy with him not in our CL squad).
If he doesn't get cup tied but servers his ban then we may wait and take that
either way we'll get the deal done as soon as we can and there is no point in worrying about it.
I just want the deal to be done as soon as possible and I'm sure the club are working to that end too

What if we sign him but don't register him till after arsenals game, do we get the best of both worlds.
I just think arsenal are taking the piss on this deal now. Without us interested with only 1 year left on his deal he would be worth 10 - 15 million max.
We can sign him on a pre contract in jan and get him for free next summer.
Personally I think we should do this. He doesn't want to be at arsenal he won't perform we'll for them consistently this season. It's more disruption itheir squad it's clearly been effecting them for some time now and that can only benefit us.
May swap tevez for snijder and some cash from inter and get him next summer now I say.

To be fair, when he was linked with that lot, the figure quoted was around £20m, so it may not just be us. But you're probably right to a certain extent, 'City are interested, add another 5m'!

I see your point but there are a number of aspects to look at
If we left him and had a verbal agreement to sign him next summer there is ALWAYS the chance he could go elsewhere. With no fee to pay other clubs will be interested.
Plus, with Nasri in the side he will improve us, who knows the value of how much he could improve us by.... for example, lets say he scores the winner in the CL to send us through to the knock out stages...... that in itself would have covered the fee for him.
Personally, I would prefer to get him now.
