25 million seems fair, when you look what other players have gone for in this window.

You are ignoring how long he has left on his contract. 25 million does not seem such a great deal compared to signing him for nothing if we wait 12 months.

Always the chance he moves elsewhere though. On a free he's basically going to have his pick of all the top teams in Europe and that's not counting how important a player he could be for us this season.

He is just to good to let go because of 3 million. We need another "silva" and there are no others like him except Nasri out there for sale.
Nasri is nothing like Silva ?

The transfer fee may be nothing in 12 months but his wages/signing on fee etc will be considerably higher though.

its ridiculas amount of wonga for a player with 12 months left to go on a contract - and if he stays and goes on a free next year he can expect even more in terms of signing on fees and agents fees because there will be no transfer free involved

That would propably explain why his agents are being twats and he dont appear to be that arsed about coming
greedy parasites only looking out for themselves, if true that nasri's father and another agent are wanting a payment imo then we should pull the plug, doesnt seem to be to much in the way of any statements from nasri or his agent, fcuk them were no gravy train...

Arsenal ready to cup-tie Samir Nasri for Champions League at Udinese

Dominic Fifield
guardian.co.uk, Monday 22 August 2011 22.30 BST

Samir Nasri is due to fly to Italy with the Arsenal squad on Tuesday before the critical second leg of the Champions League play-off against Udinese despite the fact that his participation in the tie could jeopardise his £22m move to Manchester City.

The France international's transfer to Eastlands remains on hold with negotiations continuing over a mooted payment of around £3m in agents fees that would inflate the deal to nearer £25m. The prospect of Nasri, who was suspended for the first leg at the Emirates, being cup-tied in the Champions League would represent "a big problem" according to the City manager, Roberto Mancini, though Arsène Wenger, impressed with the 24-year-old's display against Liverpool on Saturday, is mindful only of his club securing passage into the lucrative group stage.

Significant progress would have to be made on the deal within the next 24 hours if Nasri is to be withdrawn from participation to complete his move, with Wenger inclined to start the midfielder − who has indicated he does not intend to sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium once his contract expires next summer − if he is still available for selection

i'd be surprised if he doesnt get on plane - if your arsenal thats a great negotiating chip

Nasri and Silva are different types of attacking midfielders IMO. Joan Roman is more like Silva but doubtful ready to play at senior level. But Nasri can still scare defenders like Silva.

So what other players are Silva like out there?

Mata, Van der Vaart, Iniesta, Xavi, Kaka (or maybe not)... but there is only one David Silva, one David Siiiiilva, there's only one David Silva.

I need to get some sleep.

But this whole situation can now being resolved by Nasri - its him and his agents / representatives that are putting a gun to our heads - if he wanted to come he would its that simple everything else is done. I cannot believe that we did not know what the agents fee was so the extra 3 Million coming out of the woodwork for his 3 representatives is bollocks and nothing more than opportunistic money grabbing.

Nasri knows wxactly what he is doing and the implications of what he is doing personally i already dont like the fucker so if he boards that plane tomorrow personally i dont care and if he boards i hope he plays - because for him to board and City to cave in to his demands would make us look idiots
