Very good performance I just hope his hesitancy to pass into midfield was him just not wanting to make a mistake rather than lack of ability to actually pierce a pass.

Looks the part, parachuted in with no preseason, no real game time with teammates, yet still looked the pick of the bunch at the back. Finally a proper third CB (that is if Kounde arrives). Wouldn't have any issue with him starting regularly with Laporte if he had to

I think Ake showed what he’s about pretty well tonight: very athletic, quick and intelligent, with a willingness to put his body on the line for the team. I’ve seen him have better passing games too so more to come in that department. I think (and hope) that he’ll prove to be an excellent signing for you.
