Navas on his way ?

NOt sure about this. Work hard and is fast. Sounds like a player Pep would love! And i'm sure Pep will help our other strikers improve so why not him. If he gives him a job to do im sure he could do it, like just pull it back into the box from the by line - if others aren't in position its their fault not his!
Anyway, i'll have fond memories if he does go. CC goal and outrageous 11 seconder v spuds are two.

He will go I can't see him at his stage in his career wanting to sit on the bench. But I agree a good servant to the club just a shame he's never going to be up to the level required for us now Pep has arrived.

???

He's never had a problem with spending time on the bench, which he's done a fair bit over the last 3 years.

The problem for Navas is that unless the FA allow more subs on the bench then there is only so much space. If we are signing Sane and already have Nolita in the bag it pretty much pushes him down the pecking order. The question is with the quality we've got and the young lads coming through he is going to struggle to make the bench. Personally I think it would be better for him and the club if he moved on somewhere he's gonna get game time. Would he really want to stick around and have the indignity of not making the champions league squad?

He's definitely going to make the CL squad. Even with Sané arriving we only have 4 wingers, the bare minimum.

I wish I could share your optimism but he won't as we know peps likes players who can play in different positions its a case of Navas being the square peg and lots of round holes that he can't fill.

Is that true? Thought Pep was the maestro at cross threading people. I think he will be here next season playing a prominent role too.

Probably saw Navas released further up the park more today than we did in the whole of last season; he pulled one back for Delph that should have been finished as well. If the system is such, Navas will thrive, but if we become bogged down in intricate possesion play, his attributes are wasted and he'd be wise to move.

He played very well today,i can see pep keeping him,i would be happy with that
I agree he had a very good game. All too frequently in the past his crossing/shooting has been disappointing but today much improved, he played with more confidence. Nice to see.
