Nope, not stayed in Evin Prison myself. There’s enough on the web about it to confirm it’s no holiday camp. And that’s without checking the Daily Star website. There’s this thing called google that lets you find out about places you’ve never been to.
Once the pandemic’s over I think I’ll give Evin Prison a miss thanks.

Let’s say she was. Presumably she’d be working for the UK security services. If that’s the case the government should be doing everything they can to get her out of there, not have the Foreign Secretary at the time drop her in the shit.

Should our government abandon every MI6 agent each time they get caught?

I don't think she was a spy although we'll never know the real truth, she may have been an agitator on the lines of womens rights and the Iranians wouldn't have taken kindly to that (Again I could be a million miles off the mark). We can't forget that she's an Iranian citizen as well as a British citizen and she should have known that being British wouldn't have helped her in this instance.

Just positing an opinion that she was in Iran for what the Iranians believe to be an ulterior motive and this is the result of that, what is legal here isn't necessarily legal over there.
