you have assumed the user in question is a certain race/ethnicity, and accused that user of racism by using a negative stereotype that white people think black people are less intelligent. It's a lazy, negative stereotype thrown about and thus the only comment here that is racist is yours.

But the original claim was wrong, nevertheless. One of the qualities that Ndombele is most admired for is his footballing intelligence. Guardiola's preference for Rodri will simply have been his style of play being a better fit for City than Ndombele's.

There is plenty of evidence that Danny Mills is not intelligent enough to play for Pep. There is no evidence that to suggest that Ndombele is not intelligent enough for City. In fact the evidence is that he is very intelligent considering he almost single handedly overran your midfield.

So that is why I questioned the motivation to say he is not intelligent enough for City. Perhaps it was a lazy post. But it felt questionable.

Ndombele is not intelligent enough to play as a defensive midfielder for us, just like Kante isn't, just like Torreira isn't, just like Winks isn't. Nothing to do with race.

Ndombele isn't a defensive midfielder. He is a box to box midfielder. If anything, it is his creative and transitional / attacking abilities that are most highly prized. Fernandinho isn't good enough to do what he does any more than he is good enough to do what Fernandinho does.

But that's the point. We're buying a defensive midfielder. Ndombele isn't intelligent enough to play that role in our team. Therefore, it's completely fair to say he isn't intelligent enough, because the only way we would sign him is as a defensive midfielder.
