My point was more in connection with, if things are "very promising", then are we still acting like "business as usual" and dont believe the threat of a ban is as real as the rumours suggest. It will mean, at a minimum City would have to agree to improved terms for Ilkay else they would not be able to register a replacement until 2020

Only concern I would say is that he has a history of some weight issues combined with workrate and that this emergence comes with the caveat that he might revert to poor habits.
