This is very good, Emperor by Conn Iggulden it is a series of 4 books about the rise of julius ceasar he also has a series re gengis kahn v've only read the first book and is also very good
Mr Nice by howard marks also a good read
Classics like the God Father series are a must if you haven't read them much better than the films!
Read it, probably the only kind of serious book i've read, normally just stick to light entertainment types, it was a fantastic book, but i wouldn't want to read it or anything like it again, just a bit too deep for me. I prefer to read a book and feel good after, not really depressed and reflective.
I've been meaning to read that......one of my favorite movies. I'm currently reading Trainspotting and really enjoying it. If you're a fan of any music from 1977 to 1984 I highly recommend, "Rip it up and Start Again" by Simon Reynolds. An easy but in depth account on postpunk.
