Neeed another laptop

My laptops,well dieing. A 1gig duel core thats served me 2-3 years but failing to keep up with ever improving web/application standards and its noticbly looking abit like patrick viera of laptops

im kinda looking for a good value, standard laptop for £500 maybe, 450ish area?

could any lads tell me a good value one, or any independent places in manc that sell good value laptops, (i dont mind refurbished or 2nd hand)

One of my mates works there and he's clued up knows what he's talking about, obviously can't speak for the rest of them though.

I didn't get mine from PC world anyhow, I got myself a VAIO from Argos in the sale for £550, good sturdy laptop.
