I think the issue for Phil is that he doesn't have any players moving off the ball. You see what can happen with Watkins movement.FWIW I wasn't being critical of Foden the player (he was the best player in the 1st half). I was critical of some of the things he did in the second half, specifically holding onto the ball for too long (he's learned that from Bellingham). Whether you're a City fan or not surely you can see he wasn't the same force in the 2nd half, his replacement came on, did make the pass early and it set up the winner.
And yes Rice had a shocker. He was very poor for most of the match.
Those Madge mobiles will be pileing up.Benidorm going to be a fucking warzone for the final lol.
I imagine the wooshes are going to come thick and fast over the next few pages.Woosh.
He is not match fit and shouldn't have been included. A fully recovered Shaw should.Strange.
I said this at home,I thought Shaw would be a lot better than he actually was.
Watkins and Palmer subs were spot on though.
Thank heavens I’m one of those England supporters then;)Wasted to much time and energy debating England with twats that want us to lose.
What a sub from Southgate.
Fucking brilliant England.
In the final AGAIN !!
Enjoy supporting Spain in the final to all you boring anti England mugs.
What do they call it; recency bias, isn't it? The winning goal was fresh in the minds of those who made the decision. But it is a ludicrous decision. Bellingham should have got the nod.4 touches and man of the match. Ridiculous. Makes a joke of the whole thing
Foden is a nailed on starter for Sunday, and rightly so.I think the issue for Phil is that he doesn't have any players moving off the ball. You see what can happen with Watkins movement.
I'd like to see Palmer, Foden and Watkins playing more minutes together.

The King has sent the below message to Gareth Southgate and all the England players and their support team:
My wife and I join all our family in wishing you the warmest congratulations on reaching the final of the Uefa European Championship - and in sending our very best wishes for Sunday’s match.
If I may encourage you to secure victory before the need for any last minute wonder-goals or another penalties drama, I am sure the stresses on the nation’s collective heart rate and blood pressure would be greatly alleviated!
Good luck, England.
