After a couple of postings the other week I've been prompted to mention my next book, so here goes...

During 2009 there will be a new City book published by me. Its title still has to be finalised but the basic idea of the book will be to talk about City's soul and what makes the Club the club it is. I will be looking for some input from a variety of fans in the New Year (so watch this space!) and the book will be published in a subscriber edition to allow people to buy it in advance at a discounted price and with the option to have their name included in the book.

By the end of Jan full details will appear on <a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchesterfootball.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchesterfootball.org</a> and on Bluemoon.

In the meantime a quick reminder that I will be signing copies of "Manchester A Football History" on Saturday at 2pm-3pm at Borders Stockport. Copies can be ordered direct from Borders if you can't make it but do want a signed copy.

Cheers,

Gary

I look forward to your new bookcoming out Gary.
Totally off-topic,but i went to see my Dad in Sale on Friday & my Uncle Les turned up from the pub & we got talking about football & football books.
Your book Manchester City: The Complete Record came up & Les with a big smile reached into the cabinet & produced your book, much to the amusement of my Dad who accused him of being a fair weather supporter who never goes & an argument raged for a good 10 mins about who was the biggest Blue.
My dad threw in that he'd been at Maine Rd in the schooboys corner when 84,000 packed into the ground against Stoke which kind of calmed things down a bit.
ps.Uncle Les is 77 & my Dad's 85.

love to but there's a few issues. Company that produced it have gone out of business and I haven't yet been able to find a publisher who is prepared to do it. It's a very expensive book to produce (which helped to make it a special book) and most publishers wouldn't invest that much in a book on City I'm afraid.

If a major publisher wants to do it I'd be happy to talk.

Give it year, see what players we sign and approach them again!

They'll snatch your hand off!
