New breed of away fan

Seriously, you need to wind your neck in. After all, you were the one who described a City fan who fell asleep in his seat because he’d had one over the eight as “sub-human”. Fuck me, if he was hurling abuse at you and acting a c*nt then fair enough, but to be described like that for daring to fall asleep pissed up smacks of someone who would be better off taking up trainspotting than someone who claims to enjoy a drink at the football.

Most fans know where the line is between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, but on a scale of 1-10, falling asleep hardly constitutes sub-human behaviour and if you think it does then your moral compass is in urgent need of re-adjustment.
I like Subhumans. Their album "The Day The Country Died" is a punk classic..Mickey Mouse is Dead,Subvert City and Before The Pigs Come Round are the standout tracks from a raw, vibrant ,brutally honest LP ; )

As we don’t seem to have a thread about this I thought I’d start one
The conduct of our younger support is pathetic at the moment , not all but a large percentage. In Germany these last couple of days all they wanted to do was get pissed and goad others either fellow blues or Germans. The songs on the bus back to the train station after the game were all Munich this and Munich that , are they actually aware of who died that day ??
At the ground well at least in our section anyway all they were interested in was getting even more drunk and throwing beer over everyone. When challenged they then tried goading us into a fight all very brave picking on some who is disabled .At one point the idiot behind deliberately poured his beer over one of our party then kept on at him to F**k off if he didn’t like it. One of them even fell asleep during the game .
I can see this happening yet again in the pubs around Wembley again on Sunday and the reason we won’t venture down that way until near ko time. But we are lucky as these are the fans the club want to get on board as they bring atmosphere to the games and intend giving them a separate allocation .
But then maybe it isn’t them at all and it’s just our fault for being as we were called on Wednesday ‘f**king old c**nts’!!

Just how do these FYCs get tickets for a CL away game? I've been an ST holder since we moved to The Etihad, I've an MCWFC ST, I'm on all the Cup Schemes. I used to get a ticket for the one away day of the season I did at EFC, but come nowhere near enough points. The starting total for a CL game is almost double the number of points I have accumulated. Some of these FYCs might well have been in primary school when I got my first ST. How's it done?

You sadly failed to list the one thing that is crucial to getting tickets for CL away games.

CONTACTS.
Wether it be a SC membership or a mate who is a points whore or know someone who is a Superbia member or best of all a contact within the club.

This is the harsh reality for CL aways.

There are always a few that pop up on the Ticket section on here we sold one that way for Schalke.

There are also always tickets available when you get there.

You need to book hotels and flights and then keep your eye open for tickets.

3 of our 4 euro away games this season have gone to general sale.

And many of these lads, myself included have had a seasoncard since the season we moved to the new ground, are in all the cup schemes and do the majority of aways every season. Do you honestly think going to one away game a season will get you enough points?

We get tickets for games like Schalke away because we go to games like Newcastle midweek.

Great point about games making open sale.
I forgot about that because we get our tickets so early.

There are always tickets for sale on various forums and websites . For the majority of away games if people try hard enough they will probably get a ticket .Trouble with City fans is nowt new .seen it in the 60s 70s 80s ect .Just think it highlighted more now because of social media

This is the crux of it for many who do European aways. It's often a gamble for those who aren't guaranteed a ticket who splash out on flights, etc, and then it's a case of putting the feelers out as far and wide as possible to secure tickets. I can understand people not wanting to take that gamble because the flights and accomodation rarely come cheap, and as much as these European away trips are about a whole lot more than watching the match, I'm not sure I'd be too keen on being stuck watching it in a bar without a ticket.

Of course, there is now another guaranteed option for SC holders who might not qualify on points and that is to go on the official Thomas Cook trip

And the same people exist everywhere else, whether you got to football or not & did back then.

If we get to the CL Final and Thomas Cook put on 10 places, say 200 on each will that mean that 2000 people
who have never been to a City game can get a ticket.
Food for thought.
