    European Law overrides National Law as stated in the Lisbon treaty and that treasonous piece of filth the ECA 1972

    Only when the applicable law is a piece of EU legislation, The role of the ECJ is to ensure that EU laws are applied , interpreted and enforced in exactly the same way across each country. National laws which are individual to each country cannot be referred to the ECJ. A national law can be over ruled however when an identical EU law applies

    I think people understood that EU law can't trump national law if said EU law doesn't exist.
