New car park rules a farce

Appreciate that not everybody can do this, but we park near Oldham Road. 20 minute walk, but I bet I'm home before most people have even got off the car parks

Slightly off topic but to do with getting away.

Is the canal path the quickest way of getting to Piccadilly station? Difficult to judge from the map, following the pedestrian signs down the New Road seemed to be a long way of doing it.

Even half an hour after the finish the tram queue looked too long and with no apparent movement we walked.

nope the path at the back of the city store is the best and quickest from holt town to pollard street and your there about 15min walk

Word of warning, walking back into Town yesterday.
Helena St, goes up to Cambrian St in Holt Town area about 6 cars windows smashed in by local low life.

you want to try getting out of the south stand top tier from the back.....the whole ground has almost emptied by the time we even start to move. terrible design.
I agree mate...wouldn't mind but seems like loads leave early yet when I try to get out after games over its always a nightmare.
But as s/t are cheap then its a price we have to pay ...always seems as block 316 is slowest to clear .

The plan would work if GMP sorted out priorities at the traffic lights. They haven't so it doesn't as you feed straight into stationary traffic waiting at the lights.

Cheers mate I was at the tram station and my instincts told me to try the canal path but we settled for our same route on Wednesday. That it did provide an emergency stop at a bookie's when the Mitchell Arms was in a very deceased state since I last went near it. On the bright side I found the Jolly Anglers and now need to know if what I've heard about a membership only door policy is true.

Unless you're travelling with a disabled/elderly passenger you're clearly an idiot parking in the official car parks and should be made to wait at least 2 hours to leave the car park for the safety of other road users.

Noticed more no parking on streets near ground especially Every Street
Every street needed it, since they allowed street parking on there about 3 years ago, its got steadily worse, and has occasionally been impassible due to buses, and was made worse by the closure of new road, and pushing all the traffic down Every Street. One knock on effect on Wednesday night was that the street next to the shop was already full at 4:30pm, so I had to park elsewhere, luckily I'm only driving for night games now, as I get the train at weekends where possible (saw the final whistle yesterday at 5:55pm, and was in work near Watford by 9:45pm).
