My laptop recently packed in, motherboard is broken according to the guy at the shop. He went onto say that it would be not be worthwhile for me to pay to get it fixed.

So where in on the web should i go for a cheap laptop that isn't shite? Budget would be around £200 - £300.

Any places to avoid?

Ebuyer.com has a toshiba dual core for £289.Its a great machine but only 1gig of Ram when really dual core machines need at least 2gig.

I bought my other half a Toshiba 17" from Tesco a couple of weeks ao.Dual core,2gb ram, excellent machine and only £329!
