For anyone interested, Bill Cronshaw's new play will be staged in Halifax, Oldham & Cheltenham this May & June. The ticket details for the Halifax show are now available: http://www.squarechapel.co.uk/whats-on/shalalalalee/ For anyone wondering, the Square Chapel where it will be staged is across the road from Halifax train station (trains go direct to Victoria through Rochdale regularly and take about 50mins).

More details on the play here: http://www.dreamshedtheatre.co.uk/shalalalalee/

I saw it in Cheltenham last year and enjoyed it. Bill's a dedicated City fan and this play tells the story of a young apprentice at City in the 60s.

If it is any like his last City related play "I'll be Bert", it will be brilliant.
I will catch the show in Oldham and am very much looking forward to seeing it.
Thanks for the heads up Gary. I am sure all Blues will enjoy it particularly those of us that lived through the exciting Mercer/Alison era.

I have just had a quick look at the website and there is a picture of a football match in progress. I am pretty sure it is not Maine Road.
Anybody got any idea which ground it is ??
It's Elland Rd I think. That's just been used to help illustrate football by the theatre company. I wouldn't get hung up on that, the play is about a City apprentice, 60s Manchester and his relationships. There's references to City & Maine Rd throughout, with an excellent portrayal of Harry Godwin for example.
