New rules to tackle cocaine use by the football fan

Thats whataboutism. If it's tolerated in other sports then surely it should also be tolerated in football. Nah, thats just deflection.
No it's not. Since Hillsborough fans have been treated like criminals. You can't drink beer in sight of the pitch ! Tell me what other sport does that ?
You cannot buy a ticket on the day of the game !!!!
That's not whataboutery.

Argument still stands, still need to send for forensic testing and also if lads want to bring drugs in, unless you are investing in scanners then you won't catch them.

Legally it also dubious, for instance a convicted murderer/rapist could attend a PL game but not somebody caught with a few lines for personal use?
If a club decide to, they can ban you simply for providing a positive oral sample. They have the right to do that, no need for expensive testing.

You can buy tickets on the day of the game, but you are 100% right about being treated like criminals.

The day that drugs are decriminalised, legalised and regulated will be so good. No more kids dying on a night out cause of either shit education re drugs (They take too much), or because theres some dodgy crap in there that kills them. Not to get political but true drug addicts should be treated as a societal issue (With lots of support to help them) and not as criminals.

It’s an argument but not really the same one as people attending games being tested for drugs they’ve previously taken.

Not sure what’s legally dubious about it either? No different from being found in possession of illegal drugs anywhere else. And the convicted murderer comparison makes no sense. Assuming they aren’t breaking any terms of their licence, they’re breaking no law attending a game of football. A person caught in possession of illegal drugs clearly is.
