Newcastle (a) post match thread

There’s still 14 games to play. Who’s to say Liverpool won’t have a few shocking defeats? I’m not saying they will absolutely drop points, but we can’t just give up on the title.
But you can’t play games thinking oh he might get hurt or he might get sent off we best sub him. Not when we need to win. Not when you’re subbing off a lad who’s a match winner and has missed half a season already. Do you think KDB wanted to come off?

You’ve not watched many games if you haven’t said that once.

But I don’t think you are disingenuous with your assertion you are a City supporter, anyway, so I suppose that is a foregone conclusion.

Also, the rest of your post is pretty clearly trolling.

Is that all you got, really? Jesus.
Stick to curling. So when giving criticism, I'm not a City supporter anymore? What are you, five?

Danilo with a handful of errors tonight. Has played well the last few games but tonight he had a shocker.

He played an awful pass into Sterling that led to the counter attack, we then won the ball back & he played another awful pass into Fernandinho who was surrounded in his own box which resulted in the Penalty. He was terrible.

Honestly never knew we could play as poorly as that. We havent lost the title because of tonight. It is be because we are now clearly capable of doing the same again between now and May.Lets just hope we keep our mojo for the cup comps.

It only changed the dynamic because we allowed it to, weak mentality tonight I'm afraid.

We started to sulk and lose heart. The dynamic was changed because the booking affected our ‘dynamic’ midfielder. It affected his game game and spread to the rest. Their equaliser ‘again’ was a headed clearance, not followed up/closed down on the edge of the area( Leicester) Their winner was again a result of turning blind when in possession (Zinchenko at Saints). As Delph would say “Basics”. Shocking performance all round; and Pep seemed as half arsed as the players.

It was one of them nights ... the sort I thought we no longer had with Pep at the controls. My only gripe is the Jesus sub for Leroy; i would have subbed Danilo and asked Leroy to be aware of their breaks down our left. But it's easy to say that with hindsight.
Bad night; it's not the end of the world, but you sure as hell can see it from here :-(

I’m pissed off about tonight, but of the 7 goals conceded that you quote, which should he have saved? The first one tonight I thought he waved at, fair enough. Then two pens, two worldies, and two that are also pretty unsaveable. He is NOT the problem.

It's ok, we have another keeper coming to save the day.

Forget the fact that both full backs had mares today and we have no real cover in case this happens again.

I dont think the defeat all came down to KDB coming off. We should of still had more than enough to see the game out.
We werent good enough tonight as a team.

Then who is the problem? I still think he should catch a few of them. I'm being realistic about Townsends rocket but I'm talking about the rest. Penalties are saved all the time, and his positioning is purely poor at times.

Name a manager who wouldn’t sub KDB off at that moment. It’s a huge risk to leave him on there, and personally I’d prefer Bernardo to the potential of playing with 10 men. I’m sure De Bruyne was disappointing to come off, but he understands that any small foul and he would’ve seen red.
