I will see you some of the -30C CB and raise you some of our 45C over hear go half way and we shall both take 7.5C.

I hope you have power at least a couple more days of this heat and they shall shut down our grid like they did last Friday the stupid socialist climate change toting renewable energy government we have in this once cheap power , 24 hour supply uninterrupted power state of Victoria which has gone to the dogs over the past 25 years when summers were longer and drier but at least we could rely on cheap reliable energy to keep the air conditioner going.

Every time you wait for the power to come back on if your not fried first in summer you then have to call your internet and phone supplier on our wonderful NBN and get them to remotely switch you on again which usually means its wifi or bust.

Typical government spend 55 billion at last count to get us a less reliant slower broadband cable than we had with ADSL2+ and no landline every time the power goes off or the system crashes.
Been reading about your record heat. Crazy temps!! At least our cold snap will be over in a week or so!

Hang in there, mate, and I hope you’re staying as cool and hydrated as possible.

39.6 here today for Australia Day Public holiday Monday .... a tad hot but Bloody Beautiful down at the beach.
No offence Chicago , but you can stick your weather where the sun don’t shine ( pun intended)
We get our 30Cs in the summer, too, and I live 30 mins from Lake Michigan and on a 24 acre park with swimming pools. However, being on the opposite side of the seasonal calendar, I’m going to have to wait 6 mos for those temps!

Hang in there and keep the beer cold....you’ll need it!

Well, it’s snowing here now, after already having 14 inches in the last week, and we are supposed to get between another 4 to 10 inches. The temps are supposed to get down to -30C, with wind chills of -50C over the next few days.

Its fuck all that

Next stupid journo questions expected.

Maybe some ask about:
- Mendy and Vinnie and general injury update
- Everton away date squad influence
- influence of winter away pitches, now at Newcastle

Pep Guardiola refuses to discuss claims from Ernesto Valverde that he acted improperly by talking to Frenkie de Jong while under contract to Ajax. "I don't want to talk about that."

PEP I’m not involved in negotiations about players. The club is incredible and works perfect. Sometimes players go to other places and it happens. The reality is what it is. Sometimes it’s not possible. We have enough players for tomorrow

PEP Newcastle play similar to Burnley. Of course, every team is completely different. The past two seasons, it has always been tough, and I imagine that will happen tomorrow. They defend very well, but I have a feeling we can attack better.

PEP All the teams want to fight for the title. We have the pressure and feel the pressure but we have to handle it. I think there are 14 games left. There are many points left to win. We can’t think too much about that and think what we have to do.

Pep says Benjamin Mendy is "much better", Vincent Kompany is "still out".

Pep says he started Fernandinho against Burnley because of their set-piece threat. He says Ferna has had rest in the last few weeks but needs 'rhythm' and can't stay out of the team for too long. "I think he feels good right now, he doesn't feel really tired."

Good to hear that Dhino feels fresh, because I can't see any rest in the near future, certainly with Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea coming up

What was that you were saying about the weather in Newcastle? ;-)

We don't care. Manchester City aren't playing in Chicago ;-)
