When you think like that just go back to last Feb/March on here when despite a huge lead there was still plenty on here that were panicking ahead of every game, saying we couldn’t afford a slip up. Just remember the Dippers will be feeling the pressure big style, hopefully after another comprehensive performance tomorrow.

One slip ahead of us and I really think they will crumble.

If they get to the end of the season having matched us with their 4 point start then fair enough they will deserve it, I just feel it’s going to be our year again ;-)

Any idea what pub(s) are going to be used for us today? First time to st James Park! ... also planning on parking at the Royal infirmary multi storey is this a good choice or are there better places to go? Cheers in advance blues

I would imagine the majority of pubs are okay to be honest, Only area I would advise avoiding is around the Gate area, it's abit rough around there.

If you are arriving in plenty time and don't mind a little walk, Try parking in a recent new build area on the Gateshead side called Marmion Court /Worsdell Drive. As you enter, the majority of parking spots are numbered for apartments / flats but there is visitor parking and its free (Just thinking of saving you a few quid) and there's always some spare spots, I park here if I'm ever going into Newcastle shopping or whatever. Once parked you can walk down onto the Quayside by crossing the swing bridge. The swing bridge brings you onto the Quayside and there is some good bars down there, Try the Bridge Tavern which is my favourite pub. You can then walk up the bank and head towards the ground, its probably a 15 minute walk from the Quayside to the landfill.

Upon leaving the ground if you are parked towards the infirmary you could be sat in traffic for ages, By the time you have waited you could be back at your car on the Gateshead side which has a direct road that takes you straight onto the A1 for your return back to Manchester.

Newcastle are shite. Their only intention going into this game is top make sure 1) they don't get hammered and 2) that they are within one goal with 15 minutes to go so they can load the box and hope that some pressure will get them an equalizer, just like last season

That’s exactly the XI I’d go with, and the substitutions today pointed to this lineup, ie, taking Dinho and Kevin off and giving minutes to Merlin and Kun.

And it’s pretty much our strongest team available at present, though Bernardo has very strong claims to be included.

Interesting and bold decision if that is the case. Given Gundogan has had a decent month, would think that he’d get the spot ahead of anyone else.

probably as good as game as any as Newcastle don't even try to counter through the midfield. lets hope Newcastle don't have too much possession its a cold night to looking up to the gods at their passes

big game tonight and newcastle can be tricky on there own patch under lights, the fans will be right up for it wanting blood the ref and the officials will be the same old shit that miss stone wall pens and let newcastle kick us off the park, so a wet and windy and slippy pitch will be ideal for them to slide into the tackles and get away with murder

city need to score early doors and shut up the crowd and make them come at us so we can hit them on the break and pick them off, sane and sterling are the key tonight and with speed on the wings we can open them up and KDB can get a free role to find that killer pass
