Not overly arsed about losing. However, Kalvin Philips will never be good enough for this team. He passes a ball and stands and watches it. That's the sort of shit me and the lads do on a Thursday night. Can we stick dreads on Rodri for the next 2 games and give him Kalvins kit?

Commentary shit, almost to the point where I was thinking is it satire trying to make out that we had played a full strength side against Newcastle's reserve side, but I do think they were being serious.
We played the second half almost as if Pep said don't try too hard and we didn't, weird game all in all.
Phillips not got good enough for this side whatsoever. Grealish not fit and he does slow things down too much for me, Doku like a breath of fresh air when he came on.
Quite possibly the most small time reactions at the end from their fans.

Losses like this are always annoying, but in a season where we have to jet out to Saudi Arabia in the middle of it, I'm not losing sleep over being out of the Carabao Cup.

Amazed by the commentator making out that Newcastle (last year's finalists and winner by 8 at the weekend) beating City is some kind of giant killing. Always prefer to win but sometimes a loss isn't the worst thing in the world

The result will probably help us moving forward. Grealish needs to earn his starting spot back. I don’t care if he’s coming back from a niggle, that performance was just bad with no ambition. Doku has rightfully earned that spot for now.
