Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It's mind blowing that we actually did that. WTF are they watching /thinking.

I hope he comes good but there was no logic at all behind it for me. He had a long contract on a lower salary - see how he develops over the season and then either improve it or sell.

Just think if there was no VAR we still would have lost 2-1. Against the dippers with no VAR we still win 3-0. Today was Villa away on repeat. Soft as shit midfield, it may work at home but away it’s no good. Bernie and Foden shouldn’t start together away from home. I think this was a test we needed to pass if we are to catch the Arseholes, we failed. Bring on the krauts!

We’ve got too many players who shit themselves when it gets physical away from home, Cherki, Gonzales and Foden lately too

We seem to struggle against defenses that are well-drilled with physical midfielders.

I know Nico has been phenomenal at LB, but I wouldn't mind trying him in midfield and putting RAN back at LB, just to give the midfield some physicality in games like this.

In fairness, we still created absolutely golden chances.

Completely agree with moving O'Reilly central - would have been a good adjustment today

I think Josko needs a rest. Off form against Liverpool as well. I read he is carrying an injury and it shows.
