Newcastle United takeover?

If this takeover goes through, I wonder if toon will get the full assassination treatment, from other clubs chairman, managers or the media, the same as what we’ve been subjected to.

You never know, they might switch from witch hunting us, to witch hunting the toon.

Of course they will, Chelsea got/get it, we get it, just as soon as they have the audacity to qualify for the CL or win something they will join us in being part of the evil empire. I hope Putin buys Millwall just to piss everyone off even more.

I reckon the fat greedy **** that is Ashley has shat his lobster thermadore into his boxers following covid. He has fucked up royally over his behaviour at the beginning of the lock down. Underclass Direct is becoming more toxic and might be in the shit. The fat **** is reported to bee flogging Newcastle for 40 million less than he wanted so desperate is he to get some money for it.

I am another who welcome them joining our quest to fuck the rags and victims up as much as humanly possible.
Ashley is in the same position as the Glazers. On the one hand he has a football club which is profitable and whose value is realisable, on the other hand he has retail interests which lose money and are wasting assets. In the light of coronavirus, a very difficult position to be in.

Is this a good time to buy or a good time to sell?

Newcastle are such an odd club. Should have won a title with the entertainers, Fat Freddy wasn't liked, Ashley is despised, shit I think their fans have hated most people that have come to their club. Wise, fat Sam, Pardew, Roeder, Kinnear, Souness, Dalglish.

I think Robson, Keegan and maybe Chrissy Hughton were the only ones liked the past 20 years!?

Another club challenging the old boys elite is good for me. They'll all be scuttling off threatening UEFA and the PL to clip their wings.

Welcome to our world barcodes.

It's not clear from reports whether Ashley is lending money to the buyers or whether he is accepting staged payments and is securing the part that hasn't been paid yet against the club. Either suggests to me that future payments are based on the achievement of certain criteria e.g CL qualification or not getting relegated or future existence of a certain set of circumstances e.g. a relaxation of FFP rules. I'd love to see the detail.

before the cornavirus hit the world the price of newcastle was cheap as chips for a premier league club with a big fan base. but now its a gamble and a risk because of the short term to long term future of the economy and value of the pound ?? the new rules about being a british club and not a offshore tax haven also means paying more tax. so again newcastle are not as cheap now even at a drop price £300million ? and are they buying the full shebang or just the club do they get the ground and training ground and the assets or just the name
