Jesus I would be pissed off if I was a Newcastle supporter & they bring Emery in! Lol big Sam would do more for them but I guess he’s waiting for Utd job

The Newcastle fans I spoke to this morning were okay with him. They know they need somebody to stablise them keep them up and get them to mid table over the next coupleof seasons. Emery can do that.
 
If this is to implement a long term footballing ethos then I think he's a good manager. I mean I'd not expect him to win anything for a long.
 
This is a good appointment and far more sensible than I thought they would be for their first appointment.

Good organizer, bit of a overachiever with lower sides which Newcastle is but he will also have the money to go after the player types he needs. Also bit of a cup expert

Another club with a better manager than United then
 
Emery will take them down. What they needed was someone to rattle the cages and play defensively short term. Emery is far from that.
