Yes it's a pain in the arse to get to for an away game but am I the only one who can't wait to see them promoted? I suppose, for me, it's the same way I'll feel about Portsmouth in that to me they're a premiership club whether they're in the division or not.

St James Park and Fratton Park, though total death traps, are old school stadiums and they are part of the countries football history so to speak. Me and my brother were gutted to see Newcastle go down, even if it was Alan Shearer (arguebly the best English striker of all time internationally) who was in charge at the time.

They're tearing up the Championship and I cannot wait for the banter with their dilluded but very genuine fans. Good luck to the magpies for the rest of the season.

Good to have them in the prem, although not sure about the above. According to alot of their fans they have played piss poor football this season even though they are top of the league.

Agreed.
It will be good to see them back, though with the amount of watering holes around the ground, they really should have lifts for away fans.
Also a great spot for a night our after the game, and their metro makes it easy enough to get to the ground once you get to the north west (easier for me, just flight to tynside airport and metro to any of about 4 stops close to the ground, all with boozers close by, then back to the pub after the game, find a place to have a shower sh*t and shave and down to the quayside until it is time to head back to the airport for the flight home).

Agreed. My missus is a geordie as are my 2 step sons. Spend a lot of time up there and they are great people. All seem to have a soft spot for City too to be honest. Think they see us as similar sort of supporters.

Would much rather see 3000 singing Geordies than 200 pompey fans with a feckin drum!!!

Theres a Direct train Piccadilly to Newcastle and a pub crawl when you get there.
Its a great away day. one of the best IMO. it would be nice to see them come up with WBA and Forest for me (even though the City ground is a shithole)

It's a good away day, but I loved it when they went down, and I'd love it if they stayed down for a few years yet.

I'm married to a Newcastle ST holder and I can't wait for them to come back up. Always loved this fixture even before I married him and moved up here. :)

I love having all my City and Newcastle friends together twice a season.

good away day. just SO FUCKING COLD! when i went, we were in hats, gloves and big fuck off coats, we then see the natives walking round in t-shirts

Cant say I wanna see West Brum come back, but I'd love to see Forest come back, they are a big club and, like dirty Seeds, should really be in the top tier. I like the look of the play offs, its something different for a change, a bit like when Hull and Bristol City were in the final 2 years ago.

They need to be back up simple as that, although after coming up I think they will really struggle again unless they buy quality players.

Top championship team at the moment but when your strike force is Carrol and Leon Best your asking for trouble in the prem.

Why so?
