The atmosphere between our fans and theirs was something special before and after the game. The locals bent over backwards to be friendly. It was a stark contrast to my trips to Cardiff. I know it's a cliche but it really was "the magic of the Cup" and my best away trip this season along with Hoffenheim. It was sad to see the poverty in the city centre. Those people deserve better.

I'm glad Newport made a stack of money from the Cup, and hope they use it to make progress. They seem like a class act. Mutual respect is a rare thing in football today. Bitterness and hatred is the norm. (Reminds me of politics, in fact.)

My favourite parts were Padraig Amond, who asked Merlin for his shirt and Spanish Dave responded by asking Amond for his in return, and Pep posing with Michael Flynn's boys for photos.

wonder if it was the same knobheads who did it at burton, 1 of them let 1 off in the crowd behind the nets but kicked it away from him as he didn't want stewards to see who did it, pity my mate kicked it back to him and he started to go nuts about it,
