2nd Feb - Sunderland (A) - League
6th Feb - Leicester City (H) - League
14th Feb - Tottenham (H) - League
19th-22nd Feb - Chelsea (A) - FA Cup 5th Round
24th Feb - Dynamo Kyiv (A) - Champions League Last 16, 1st Leg
28th Feb - Liverpool (N) - League Cup Final
2nd Mar - Liverpool (A) - League
So 7 games in 4 competitions spread directly over a month. Now I know we have a big squad but what can we realistically expect over the next month?
I think this is the run that will define our season, in the league we have 2 away games at grounds we usually don't do too well at and 2 home games against title contenders. I think we need to beat Sunderland, take 4 points from our home games and at Liverpool we'll be lucky to get anything.
League Cup Final is a must win, gives us that boost going into the run in.
In Kiev we're all expecting a good result but it's a long way to travel, hostile place, i'd take a score draw or a narrow win obviously to set us up nicely for the home game.
Then I think for this run the FA Cup takes a back seat, I hate going out of competitions but this a hard run, i'd like to think our 2nd team could get the job done but it might be too much to ask, Chelsea will be travelling back from Paris so hopefully they'll be knackered but they have only got the cups to go for so they'll go all out for it I reckon.
