Next Manager after Pep

I see the point, some would say this is more Mancini than Pep.

But a kick up the arse is not always a bad thing and he has got burnley playing some nice football, that is all I ask of my team, to play nice football, not hoof ball or bus parking bollocks

This is from Anderlecht when he wasn't playing great football to be fair.

I don't think it's bad all the time, on a v. young squad who are in awe of Vincent Kompany it's probably very effective in tiny doses, but it's not going to work on a side as experienced and of the quality of City - after all Mancini lost the dressing room over 1 bad season.

They're famous, that's not the same as them helping.

Can you think of a time Pep was giving out a bollocking in the dressing room in all the city tv and amazon footage?

As you know they only show what they allowed.. still early In Kompany managerial career so when he manages in the premier we will see how good a manager he is! Get Burnley finishing just below midtable will be a decent season for him!

Don’t know though come summer a “bigger” club might just come in for him! A club will look at Arteta and think he could do the same with there club playing great attacking football..

To be honest I think this is the kind of thing that top level players completely switch off from.

It's good if you're a massive legend of the game managing a very young squad who've never seen you angry before, but it's got a very short shelf life. United players used to laugh behind Ferguson's back when he was giving the hairdryer because they're elite professionals, they don't need to be shouted at, they just want instructions in how to fix issues in the game.
Completely agree.

You are not succesful because of passion or what you did as a player. That is how you end up with clubs continuously giving jobs to the likes of Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Lampard and Gerrard etc.

For every Zidane there is a thousand players turned manager that are not cut out for it. It would be horrible to have a Lampard situation at City. A legend of the club fired for poor performances.

For what it is worth I think Vinnie is a good manager, I watched several Anderlecht games and hes clearly got Burnley doing the right thing but he is miles off being at Citys level imo.

I dont believe we will ever win the CL under Pep, he fucks about with the team too much.I can still see myself sat in a fan park in Porto reading the team on the screen.

Hope I am wrong.

VK would be the logical next manager for me if he can maintain something at Burnley, he gets City fans unlike Pep imo.

Pep's Man City can definitely win Champions League thanks to Erling Haaland, the guy has 28 goals in 23 games.

For the 1st time in Man City's history, someone is actually performing on same level as Messi & Cristiano in their primes.

Pep hasn't won UCL because he never (since Messi) had a reliable goalscorer who can potentially win games single-handedly in Champions League knockout stage.

I thought he had 31 goals now.
