Maybe that's the point, we aren't that important to Nike to merit them going off template.They don't pay us much, they don't ask the clubs opinon because they don't care whether we stick with them or not . They may start to care soon, hopefully by then we'll have found better partner.
Thing is, teams like the Rags and Chelsea get the good deals because they shift more shirts – never gonna happen for us if they shirt is that fucking awful!

I like it.As time has gone on I actually find myself really disliking the new badge as well. Gold on white is a poor design decision - whenever do you see a gold ship against a white sky anyway? The shield is shit and with the white/gold combo looks like a shit brewery logo. The CFG template lacks uniqueness for a 122 year old club. I voted for the rose but I think it's a bit of a sore thumb in this design. Having the 1894 split is shit. "City" is straight. #bluemoan
And the kit. I like Nike as well. I also pronounce it Ni-key.

Initially it grew on me after thinking it was a good compromise amongst fans but could have been executed better. I have a different view on this... I have wondered this for a few years... Maybe the club "leaks" different kits like this to see fan reactions, obviously if most don't like it then they won't release that kit instead opting for the kit the fans responded the best to?
If this was true they wouldn't leak a top with dark blue sleeves because they would know the response anyhow, for years the reaction to navy blue in anything other than socks has been very negative.
Most city fans want sky blue tops , white shorts with either sky blue or navy socks period, the club know it, Nike know it they just don't care enough about the core supports opinion. They want navy blue to be more prominent based on the groups overall colour scheme.
Best to not buy it or get a cheap copy
