Aparently Dustin Hoffman has released a statement dening any involvement with Mrs Robinson.....
 
The BBC local news programme was full of it tonight. They had an interview (of sorts) with Peter Robinson; he looked a shell of the man we all know down here. He's had a lot of shit to deal with in this whole episode; I feel sorry for him.

He's a political leader of a country. Like it or not, their private lives are open to scrutiny. Remember John Major and Edwina Currie? Also, there's something going around re. the Robinsons' financial affairs which (I think) was the beginning of the affair being publicised. Not fully up to speed on that story though.

He's a political leader of a country. Like it or not, their private lives are open to scrutiny. Remember John Major and Edwina Currie? Also, there's something going around re. the Robinsons' financial affairs which (I think) was the beginning of the affair being publicised. Not fully up to speed on that story though.

This and the fact that Mrs R has regularly preached against homosexuality and 'immorality' in society. And both of them have never missed a chance to present themselves as perfect in every way. More right wing and condemning of all forms of indolence than even the most rampant English tory would ever dare to be. All we need now is for Peter to come out of the closet. Classic!

Yeah; there is that. They have a particularly traditional religious outlook on life, and that's as far as I'm going to comment on that particular aspect of the story. We don't need another "old firm" type thread, thank you very much!
