Kudos to Txiki, great to see the hard graft paying off.Great news if it's right.
Also well done Txiki. €60mil release clause and he's negotiated it to just paying the clause in only 34 days. Brilliant.
We haven’t signed him yetThank God we've got this bloke in. Now I just hope he's any good.
And a signed Haaland top€59m might do the trick!
I feel like everyone does actually know him, but they remember him as the Barca youth kid called Nico that came through with Pedri and Gavi and that generation rather than Nico Gonzalez. After only finding out he existed about 7 days ago I’m absolutely convinced he’s exactly what we need
€61m definitely will.......€59m might do the trick!
Not in a great position to negotiate, Rodri out for the season, we have no legs in midfield, horrific fixture list in February and just been twattedlots of talk of we tried to pay less but ended up paying the release clause
personally i don't much care for any of that talk as for all we truthfully know we might have started out with the release clause. we might even have simply been trying to negotiate favourable payment terms. we might have been investigating other options. don't much care about anything other than 11pm tonight.
I want this to happen simply because we have no legs in midfield. We are the worst team in the league without the ball.
However, this kid isn't going to save our season. We're still going to be inconsistent and I think a few more batterings are on the way between now and the summer.
Not trying to be a party pooper but the issues with the current team go far beyond simply missing Rodri and the resolution isn't as simple as putting a kid in his spot who doesn't even play as a lone DM.
Other than desperately trying to finish in the top four, this season is a write-off. Don't pin your hopes on this guy to return us to former glory in less than half a season and don't write him off when he inevitably struggles in a struggling side.
