Nicolas Otamendi - 2016/17 performances

Just not good enough Ottamendi he is 28 experienced but still is prone of stupid mistakes flying in trying to win the ball when he has no chance of winning it. Spends a lot of the time on his arse stand up and defend.

Dont think he'll change now, it really f*cks me off though the amount of times he's on his arse, he's not big for a CB either which is a problem in the PL and been bullied by the likes of Costa and Lukaku.
 
All in all, I think he is the least of our defensive problems but it must be murder for the kit men to get the arse of his sorts clean!
 
Definitely not one of our biggest problems. If he had a decent partner and two reliable full backs alongside him he'd show his quality even more - not to mention a GK behind him who never stops a shot.

It must be quite unsettling to know that every time a striker gets a shooting opportunity it's basically a goal.

If I played at the back I'm with Baresi, Maldini and Costacurta I'm sure I'd look half decent..

Fuck this using other positions as an excuse.. he needs a good partner, he needs such and such a left back.. absolute bollocks.. a player is good or bad on their own merit and this hopeless **** is definitely bad.

Yeah, OK then. Well on his own merit he's been one of our better players this season, whether you like it or not.

If you don't think centre-halves need a good partner to back them up then you're lost. The best defences are built on a solid CB pairing and unfortunately the only one who can solve this problem is always injured.

Why can't he be the good partner? He's a 28 year old international defender that cost a fucking fortune.
