I wrote in the Leicester thread before saying people can call him all they want but yesterday he was badly missed.
He's by far Citys best center back at the moment. Most of the criticism comes from his tendency to rush in, this is easily fixed.
I agree with you to a certain extent. However, it's all well saying that this is an 'easy fix', but I'd much prefer to know when he'll actually stop doing it.
He's been like this since he joined, and has given away numerous chances because of it.
He must be a pretty slow learner...
Defence looked much better with him back in the side, sometimes he has his moments but he's our best defender at the moment, solid performance tonight.
I thought that worked really well last night.was fine against watford and i was going to criticize him for consistently being out of position but i wonder if ya ya's presence in the team (and deeper role) meant that Nico was told to follow the striker around rather than hold the line.
I would like to see him tried out as a full back.
Credit to him today, he was very good. The only hiccup was when he dived in near the end and gave away a free kick on the edge of the box. Hopefully he can find some consistency which is what he's mostly lacked.
Ok today. Still makes stupid mistakes like the free kick near the end.
How do you think he played yesterday ?Still think he's far too rash. He just dives in for the sake of it. Even when I can see he has no chance of winning the ball
