never mind the own goal, he was superb today

Yes he was. Completely different player to the first few seasons with us. Credit to him trying to play the Stones role with setting up the attacks from the back. Very dependable player these days.

Otto defended superbly and really took the game to Huddersfield , he has improved so much this season , he isnt diving into challenges etc., no doubt the inclusion of a couple of full backs with pace and a keeper who reads the game and sweeps up everything at the back has been a massive help , but credit to Otto , whilst Stones has been getting all the plaudits , Otto has silently got on with the job.

Lovely little 1-2 on the edge of the box and very nearly opened the scoring.

Up there with our better performers today IMO

He is not playing the Stones role, he play this way anyway.

( KDB goal against Chelsea is a good example )

It was definitely a tactical decision to have Otamendi push up as high as he did. Barring one moment in the 2nd half he didn't do much wrong.

He still occasionally struggles in the tussle around the halfway line I've noticed. But other than that he's been exactly as good as he's needed to be.

Thought he was excellent yesterday and his shot over the bar was closer than Mooys freekick at the end. He was unlucky on their goal, didnt react quick enough.
