Nicolas Otamendi - 2017/18 performances

I wanted a commanding, tall and powerful defender to replace him at the start of the summer. He’s proved me wrong though and I think we’re going to be okay with him and Stones at the back. Nico and John have improved so much from last season, they both look commanding and have taken responsibility at the back. Can’t wait to see them back together.

Excellent technique with that header off the line, I think he's been our most improved player this season and that's saying something competing with the improvement in Stones and Sterling.
